MLI and EDMO Ireland have developed a Be Media Smart training programme with the aim of building a network of community-based trainers who can help individuals, communities, and institutions recognise and value reliable and accurate information in order to make informed decisions. A series of online ‘Train the Trainer’ sessions have been designed to empower community-based learning facilitators with the necessary knowledge, tools, techniques, and resources to deliver Be Media Smart Workshops in their own communities. A number of Be Media Smart training webinars for the public are being run across the autumn to help people develop the skills and confidence to recognise accurate and reliable information.
